Teachers Privacy

Teachers Privacy
-Do Teachers have the right to share their personal ideas online?
-As a Teacher you are a role model for your students, but don’t you have the right to share your opinions online?

The article is trying to explain that there is a fine line you don’t cross with expressing your feelings online in an inappropriate manner. There is a time and a place for everything and as teachers they should understand that. The other side of the argument is that teachers have a social life outside of the class room, where they do as they please, and something they do on their own time shouldn’t affect the work place.

I personally like the fact that teachers are on social media, because it really shows what kind of person your teacher really is. I definitely believe that teachers should have a social life without having to be pointed out or judged, until they cross that line by bringing their students into their own issues. That’s when it becomes a problem.Being a teacher means setting the right examples for your students. It doesn’t just stop when you finish class. Teachers influence students to make wise choices in life, and if a teacher doesn’t do so, students views may be affected.

  1. I think you should have expanded a bit more on each sides of the argument. For instance you could have given examples for each side or told us a bit more about what happened in the article you read, because a person reading your post who may not have read the article may not have a full grasp on why or what you are talking about. I also like how you said that ".... until they cross that line by bringing their students into their own issues", I agree with you there ! Your opinion was clearly stated, so that was good!

  2. I agree with Briana, you could have used a wider spectrum to analyze the angles you were exploring your content within, normally, a theses statement would be included in the first paragraph to give the reader a sense of what this essay will be about since I believe this is a persuasive? Maybe go a bit deeper into the profession, dig a little bit into the lives of a teacher and included a few more examples to intrigue and further improve your essay. Overall, great work, nice, solid and straight to the point, I like that.

  3. I agree with your points on the fact that teachers should also have their privacy without affecting their profession. On a separate thought, could you please provide an example of "a fine line that you don't cross"? Because going back to your argument, if teacher are and should be authorized to have their own privacy, does it matter what they post/say privately? This is just a general question, I would like to hear you opinion on this matter.
